This project encompasses initiatives to raise awareness about road safety amongst road users and other stakeholders and to promote the importance of peace of mind, inner stability and values for enhancing safety. The Transport and Travel Wing has been actively involved in creating awareness about road safety in various cities across India since the last five years. Special efforts were undertaken during Road Safety Week and the whole month of January each year. The first week of January each year is observed as Road Safety Week by the Govt. of India. Based on the experience of these past services, this new project has been developed with strategic activities for reaching out to various stakeholder groups at a much wider national level. This will be implemented by the existing network of Brahmakumaris centres in India. Brief information about activities is given below:

Through all these activities, participants are helped to understand and touch the peace-loving, honest human spirit within them that inspires them to act with responsibility. This strengthens their ability to overcome the weak states of mind that drive them to addictions, road rage or irresponsible action.
